| Many designs are now emerging that use DDS - direct digital synthesis for frequencies in the order of gigahertz, but I cannot find any logic ICs that operate at up to any where near these sort of frequencies. Right now I am looking for a synchronous counter, preferably BCD, although I could resort to binary, that can act as a frequency counter up to about 1.3GHz. I've found the ECL series but it doesn't seem to be very extensive, the largest counter I've seen is an 8-bit binary, max. freq 700MHz. I'm stuck - where do people get these chips from? |
